The Gift of Christ!

For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 AMP

The gift of Christ brought not only joy, but also redemption.
The Saviour of the world came to redeem us from this sinful world, and to reconcile us back to God.
The government of the world was taken from the prince of this world, and handed back to The rightful owner (Christ, and by extension, us, His siblings).
He sent us His Spirit to counsel us.
He restored our relationship with an awesome mighty God, our everlasting Father.
He brought us eternal peace, in Him alone, we find True Lasting Peace.

The birth of Christ did not only bring us joy, so we should not just celebrate it as a routine fanfare.
His birth brought us deliverance, restoration, and so much more. 
Hence, we should celebrate it with such utmost significance.
