Remember In My Favour

....... Remember this in my favor, O my God.

Nehemiah 13:31 NLT


Nehemiah found favour in the sight of the king, and he used that opportunity to help fix Jerusalem for the Jews. All these were documented in the book of Nehemiah, but for some reason, he chose the last chapter to list out some things he did, and asked God to remember these thing in his favour.


I found it difficult when God told me to remind Him of my good deeds, It was something I really struggled with, I felt how could I be boastful to God, after all, I was able to do all those things by His Grace.

God knows all what you did and He doesn't need you to remind Him, but He wants you to remind Him, so you can remind yourself. He wants you to remember, so you can anticipate and rejoice at the great rewards coming your way.


The Bible says it is wickedness to not pay a worker his wages. We do not serve a wicked God, He will surely remember you for good and reward all the good you have done for His kingdom and for others. 


With all humility, thank God for empowering you to do all that you have been able to do, and remind Him of your good deeds, He will surely remember them in your favour.
