Be Christ-Like!

Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters.

Ephesians 5:1 TPT


To be a Christian is to be Christ-like. The question is how Christ-like are you?


Christ is Loving. Jesus loves everyone, friends and foes alike. Love others daily, even when they don't deserve it. Be kind to others, especially those who can't pay it back. Reflect God's pure love each day.


Christ is Prayerful. I know we all pray, but Jesus prayed more for others than for Himself, He prayed even much more for His enemies. Pray for others, pray more for your enemies.


Christ is Patient. Jesus patiently waited for you to know Him and love Him, He patiently waits daily for you to learn to know Him more. Be patient with others too, give room for their shortcomings. 


Christ is Obedient and Humble. Jesus never did anything without The Father, He never did anything The Father didn't ask of Him, and He did all The Father asked of Him, even when it was difficult (Not my (Jesus's Will, but Yours (God's) be done). So, never assume that you can do anything without The Father. Diligently obey Him and humble yourself to do all that He says.


Christ Gives. Jesus is very generous. He healed the sick, visited people, and fed multitude. Be generous, open your heart to other's needs. Be of service to others each day.


Christ Forgives. Jesus forgives our wrong doings, in fact, He forgave us even before we did them. God wants you to sincerely forgive those who wrong you. It isn't easy to forgive, but letting go of past hurt frees you and gives you peace. 

May God grant you grace to truly forgive and let go. Amen.


There is so much more to being Christ-like than those mentioned above, but you can start by working on them. May God grant us the strength to be more like Him daily. Amen!

Year of Ease!
