Rest In God!
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Matthew 11:28-30 MSG
It is good to be zealous for God, but many atimes, we are so over zealous that our work for God replaces our WALK with God. It is great to do good things for God, but doing things for God does not replace doing things with God. This is why Jesus said He would say "I know you not" after people have listed all the great things they did in His Name.
When you focus on your walk with God, your work for God happens with ease and it carries Grace and Power. When God's power flows through what you do, you are joyful and you feel fulfilled because you do The Will of The Father. But when you do things in your own strength, you eventually get tired and burn out, and bitterness and resentment sets in.
The primary reason Jesus reconciled you with The Father is for you to fellowship with Him. Your work for Him stems out of that relationship. So don't focus on that work while the relationship suffer.
Find rest in God, He refreshes and renews your soul. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
Enjoy Grace that comes from walking with The Father.
