Sharpeners

 

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].

Proverbs 27:17 AMP

EasyEnglish Bible Version says "People learn from each other....", who are you learning from? Who is learning from you? Do you place yourself in a position where people can learn from you? Do people see you as their go to person to encourage them when they feel they can't go on?. 

For a friend to sharpen a friend, both party needs to be willing, and their heart ready to receive, because sometimes, while encouraging someone, God gives you new revelation. I remember a time I was talking to a friend about waiting, the way God broke Psalms 23 down for me, I was wondering what it had to do with waiting on God, I couldn't believe it was the same chapter I had recited all my life.

While sharpening others, you also sharpen yourself. Place yourself in a position where others can choose you to sharpen them, be alert to receive revelation from God, so you can get sharpened as well. Also, have people on your list who can sharpen you, no man is an island.
