  A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9 KJV Some people take this verse to mean they don't need to plan for the future, that they can just go through the motions of life.. TPT versions breaks this verse down, "Within your heart you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there". This shows that you need to make plans for your life. You need to step out and plan your life, work towards that plan and trust God to order your footsteps and back up your efforts with result.   Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. Isaiah 58:10 NLT Kindness and generosity to others is the ultimate kind of "fast" God wants from you. God wants you to look beyond your own situation and show love to others. He wants you to look beyond your circumstances and help others, and before you know it, your challenges will fade away, for He will raise someone else to help you. God wants you to make a difference where it counts. Don't block other people's blessings because you are waiting for yours, as long as it's in your power to help, help! Knowing that God will come through on His own timetable strengthens you. Trust that God is always with you. He gives you your daily bread in time, not before, not after. Don't allow challenges get the best of you that you forget whose Child you are. When you feel you can't hold on, rest in His strength, stay courageous, and march on.   ...... The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.... Psalms 146:8 NLT Are you tired, sad, or overcome with shame? Do you feel stuck or you feel all alone in your situation? Do you feel you are without help or even without a comforter? The Psalmist reminds us today that God lifts those who are weighed down. TPT version says He fully restore those who are bent over in shame. Isaiah says that those who wait on The Lord will find renewed strength in Him, they will never get tired no matter how long they have to run. This is because when you put your trust in Him, you no longer run on your on strength, but on His. Put all your worries on God, let Him take care of you. Let Him carry you and give you His strength.   My father and mother abandoned me. But you, Yahweh, took me in and made me yours. Psalms 27:10 TPT Even if those close to you should forsake you, God will never forsake you.  The strongest natural connection is that of a parent and child, and more so, that of a mother and child, and I think that's why The Psalmist used that as an example. If the "strongest connection" can forsake you, God will never forsake you, He will never leave you.  You are God's Own, He adopted you into sonship, not servanthood. Any one on earth can fail you or abandon, but God will never abandon you. We are quick to see the faults in others, and slow to take to correction. In fact, we get so defensive and make excuses for our bad behaviour. We should not be ignorant of our bad conduct, Jesus said to not be so bothered about others when we have so much to fix ourselves(that we have chosen to ignore).  Do not go around magnifying other people's fault when you need to magnify yours and correct it. Stop making excuses for your own behavior that you condemn mercilessly in others. LUKE 12:32 AMP Verse 22 of the above chapter talks about how we should be anxious for nothing in life. By nature, we are prone to worry about our basic need, if our family members are fine, if things will work out well etc.  Jesus is reminding you not to fear for your Father is very much aware of your daily need and is willing to do far much more than you can imagine or expect.  Fear for nothing, for it gives your Father GOOD PLEASURE to give to you all the promises of His Kingdom. The problem is we rarely do all together. We work, pray, and rely only on our strength to get results. Some believe they only need to pray and have faith.  It is The Lord who guides and protects His Own. His guidance will lead you into abundance.   Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. Romans 14:12 NLT I say this always "God will ask ONLY YOU about your life, He won't ask someone else to give an account on your behalf, so why then should you live your life based on other's leading and not God's". Many people don't get to fulfill God's purpose for their life because they're so busy living on behalf of others. You have so many people who even despite meaning well for you, the life they mapped out for you to live is still not the one God created for you. And The Word says, "YOU (not them) will give and account to God".  So when will you start living your God-made life and not the man-made one. - Selah. Stop standing around waiting for someone to tell you how to live. Take charge of your life, make something happen. Live the life of greatness God has called you into. It is important to go only where God leads. When you go to places where God isn't, you struggle and walk in the dark. You don't go to places just because they look promising or because they look good (ask Lot), neither do you go because others are going there. You need to learn to ask God and also learn to follow His Will.  God has a plan for your life, that plan can be accomplished only when you follow His leading. Your timing for new opportunities does not matter, only God's Will matters. God will provide the way for His plan to be accomplished, so you need to trust His leading, and follow.   So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. To live the life that God intended for you to live, you need to stop living in the flesh and start living in The Spirit. We live in this world, but we are not of this world. So, how can we live as though we are of this world and expect supernatural results, then we conclude that God failed us. God is not a liar, He cannot be mocked, the principles you live by will influence the results you get out of life.  Put your worldly desires and principles under the control of The  Holy Spirit. Let Him refine and rebuild you. Let God rule over your mind, and direct and influence your actions. The Spirit and flesh are constantly at war. It is with Him that you find completion and fulfillment. On your own, you would struggle to get results, but with Him, everything will become easier. When you put everything in God's hands, He holds your career, your finances, your relationships, your family, your emotions, etc., all together and ensures your success. God will lead you in all things,  He will tell you how He wants things done, how to treat others, how to be financially prudent, how to react in situations, the kind of attitude and things He sanctions. You cannot do away with sin when you are far from God, you cannot cleanse yourself by yourself. You need God to do the cleansing. Also, God will not force Himself on you. He knows your shortcomings, your willingness to be better and do better is all He needs, then He will do the rest.  You can never be whole without God, so stop trying to be whole before going to Him. He loves and wants you just the way you are. However, when you go to Him, He doesn't want you to remain the way you came, He wants to transform you into a better You. James 5:16 AMP We focus on long prayers or marathon prayers, but rather than length of your prayer, God is more concerned about how heartfelt and faith-filled your prayer is. God does not need you to impress Him with big big words,  He is not asking for a performance or for an exhibition, He is looking for you to commune with Him. He wants to hear not just your words, but your heart. He wants you connected with Him. Your heartfelt prayer is powerful, effective and produces wonderful results. God hears your heartfelt prayer.   Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 AMP God is a steady rock, He remains unchanging. He is willing, able and stable. We gladly sing the hymn "Standing on the promises of God". But when a difficult situation becomes persistent, we start to waver, we start to doubt those promises.  God never said there won't be storms, but He promised His Peace in the middle of the storm. One way to access that  peace is to trust in the unchanging God.  Know that God stays the same, know that His promises never return void. Know that He accomplishes that which He says. You can choose to view it as an advice or as a command. The most important aspect is to pray continually.  One reason why we may see continual prayer as a big deal is because we tend to view it as something that must be done in private and for hours. But prayer is basically communicating with God.  You can communicate with God while driving, while in the shower, or even while eating. It could be for hours, a few minutes of blasting in tongues, or just a silent heartfelt "help me God".  To continually pray means to be in constant communication with God. It could be hours of prayer, or just a consciousness of God's presence, constantly checking in as you go through the day.  God wants to be a part of your everyday life, He wants you to fellowship and communicate with Him.  Be un
